Hyundai Venue is one of the more popular vehicles in the sub-4 meter compact SUV segment. It competes with cars like Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport in the segment. Hyundai recently launched an industry first iMT gearbox option in which the driver can enjoy a clutchless drive while also being able to shift gears manually. This technology was initially announced by Kia Motors for the upcoming Sonet compact SUV but Hyundai was the first to launch it in the market. Here we have a video of the Hyundai Venue SUV iMT version that shows how the car looks from outside and inside.
The video has been uploaded by AutoTrend TV on their youtube channel. The video simply shows how the iMT version of Venue is different from the other version. The iMT gearbox is available with the 1.0 litre, three cylinder turbo petrol engine. This engine is now available with three transmission options – one a 6-speed manual gearbox, second a 7-speed DCT and the third is this iMT option.

From the outside, the design of the car remains unchanged and retains the projector type headlamps on the bumper with square shaped LED DRLs around it and the large cascading chrome grille. The version seen in the video is the SX(O) top-end trim which means it comes with all bells and whistles. Coming to the side profile, dual tone machine cut alloy wheel, ORVMs, roof rails can be seen. As this is the top-end trim, it also gets an electric sunroof.
The rear gets LED tail lights, parking sensors and reverse parking camera. There is a faux skid plate installed at the front and the rear to give it an SUV look. On the inside, it gets features like a multi function steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment screen, BlueLink connectivity features, rear AC vents, wireless charging and so on.
The main difference however is the absence of a clutch pedal and the presence of a manual gear knob. In this system, a number of sensors control the system. The system basically engages clutch automatically whenever the driver shifts a gear. Apart from that everything else in the Hyundai Venue remains the same as other versions. The upcoming Kia Sonet SUV which was unveiled last week will also be featuring the same transmission.
