Mahindra Thar is one of the highly-anticipated cars in India. The manufacturer has been testing the car for a long time in the Indian market. There are numerous pictures of the all-new Mahindra Thar testing on the Indian roads. Mahindra has finally announced that the all-new Thar will be unveiled on 15th August. Before the official unveiling, the test of the Thar continues on the public roads. Here is a set of latest pictures of the Mahindra Thar that completely reveals the cabin of the vehicle and also gives a fair idea on how the car will look.
The all-new Thar has become bigger in size compared to the last-generation model, which has now been discontinued. It follows the same design language but now looks more muscular and has a dominating stance. The new spy pictures by Sonu Pujari on 4X4 India show that the vehicle will keep the flat bonnet lid and slated grille design alive while the round headlamps will continue to be there on the all-new Thar.

Mahindra will offer several rooftop options with the Thar from the factory. This one here is the hard-top version and as the pictures show, the rooftop seems to be removable, which will be a unique feature at this price. There are large fixed windows for the rear passengers that cannot be opened.
These set of pictures also show the cabin of the all-new Thar. There are some major changes here as well. The layout of the dashboard has completely changed. It is in an all-black colour now and also gets a touchscreen infotainment system for the first time. Just below the infotainment, air vents are positioned that are round in shape and have carbon fibre finish. The steering is also new and offers mounted buttons to control the infotainment.
The seats look well-cushioned and are made up of faux leather. The double-stitching on the seats are also extremely premium touch to the car. There is a separate dial for the climate control system too. Mahindra has also added Thar brand to the doors.
There will be a set of engine options available with the all-new Thar. The older 2.2-litre mHawk diesel will be available with the new Thar and it will also get an automatic version. This car here, however, is the manual version and we can see the 4X4 gear lever too. Mahindra will also offer a petrol engine with the all-new Thar. It is likely to be the 2.0-litre mStallion unit that was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo.
